I’ll laugh when the arrest him on a felony charge.

Meantime, The Boss and I signed the petition this evening quite happily.

I hope the petition fails to get the required signatures, but again I say “not THAT way!” That man’s actions were indeed against democracy.

May his apprehension be soon, his verdict guilty, and his sentence multiple years in prison. Just as I oppose voter frauds, so do I oppose taking people’s rights to sign a petition explicitly allowed by law.

The people who previously signed were contacted and have re-signed other petition sheets.

Look… the guy got carried away and did something very stupid. I think the Dane County Sheriff and DA should ream him so he will have to clean out his pants, but serious jail time… no.

This goes to show you how polarizing politics has become in Wisconsin and the nation. It appears it will only get worse.

re: #5 terraincognita

I’d agree with you… if there wasn’t any premeditation. It’s going to be very hard to argue that he just got carried away instead of an attempt to commit electoral fraud.

Defacing, destroying or falsifying a recall petition in Wisconsin is a felony punsihable by up to 3 years and six months in prison.

If that’s the law, why should he get off with a stern talking to? I’m sorry, at some point this whole “you can participate in democracy as long as your beliefs mirror ours” crap has to stop and jail time is the only way. Either we’re a nation of laws or we’re not. And I’d further say we are (or should be) a nation of laws for all.
